Build Process

This is not the high tech mathematical build that you will find on other sights. we all know, building a high horse power hemi is a complex mathematical equation. When the math is correct, it will run faster than a cheetah in high tops. When the math is wrong, you effectively constructed a high-dollar bomb! I will list great links to the high-tech math needed to build your hemi. I am not going to go into great detail, or tell you why I may do something different, but I will give you the basics.

Hemi Hot Rods first build

It started in 1957 at Chrysler's A-1 Foundry when a group of workers created the motor that would dominate top fuel racing for many years. Thanks to guys like Don Garlits, the undisputed father of the top fuel hemi, this great engine is the one still to beat! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have never seen a top fuel Chevy! Why? Because if it is not a Mopar, it is a slow car!

This motor was born from over 740 pounds of Detroit steel! The original parts I am using include

  1. Front and rear caps.
  2. 20 over A-1 block.
  3. 392 heads.
  4. Adjustable rocker arms and shafts.

Everything else I will buy new or I will use aftermarket parts from you who want to market your part on this site! So follow along and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. This will be one of the coolest builds you have ever seen. From the bare block to the first burnout! If you have an after market or a one of a kind part, and you would like me to use it in this build, contact me. I will post updates as work is done.
